Ms. Paschal teaches algebra II and precalculus at Lake View High School

SAN ANGELO, TX, October 12, 2015, Saundra Paschal, Mathematics Teacher at Lake View High School, which is part of the San Angelo Independent School District, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Mathematics Education. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Ms. Paschal has 34 years of experience as a mathematics teacher of San Angelo Independent School District, where she specializes in algebra and precalculus education. Each day, she is responsible for teaching regular algebra II and precalculus, as well as coaching the mathematics team, providing advisement on books for publication and coordinating the school's university interscholastic league.
Looking back, Ms. Paschal attributes her success to her ability to teach students and the support she received from her high school teachers. She became involved in her profession after starting her career as a teacher's aide.

Ms. Paschal received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, with a minor in biology, from Angelo State University in 1980. She is a member of the Curriculum Writing Team of the San Angelo Independent School District, the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association, and ASCD. In recognition of her hard work and dedication, she has been honored with a Worldwide Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 and 2013, a VIP of the Year distinction in 2011, and a Teacher of the Year Award in 2000. She has been featured as one of the Top 12 Educators of the Year in a commemorative calendar. In years to come, Ms. Paschal intends to continue teaching at the school, sharing her knowledge with students and mentoring other teachers.
